This August, FRIGID Nightcap is checking the math.
ODD NUMBERS is a late-night variety show about bodies, art, action, and the collective power of people who refuse to divide evenly. As politicians work to restrict the electorate, erase vulnerable communities, and reduce human lives to demographics, documents, districts, and data points, we’re gathering the people their calculations cannot contain.
Because voting is not the only thing that counts.
Organizing counts. Labor counts. Care counts. Art counts. Refusal counts. Protecting one another counts. Showing up counts. And filling an East Village basement with strange bodies, loud voices, dangerous ideas, and enough collective joy to overwhelm the algorithm counts, too.
Expect comedy, drag, burlesque, music, theatre, movement, and glorious miscalculation from a lineup as plural and unpredictable as the people in the room.
There are more of us than they want us to know. And there are more ways of being us than their systems know how to count.
Come count yourself in... and make the numbers harder to ignore.
