Killing Janet
This developmental, script-in-hand presentation offers audiences a work-in-progress look at a substantially reimagined version of Killing Janet. Part stand-up, part cultural exorcism, the piece follows a first-generation Nigerian-American woman who tries to “kill” her missionary-given name on live TV—only to discover that what grew around that name may be harder to kill than she thought.
Content Awareness: References to suicide; explicit sexual imagery; strong language.
