Spoken word collides with storytelling in this unflinching, funny, and fearless one-woman show. Faith Alpher takes the stage to tell the story of leaving New Jersey and remaking herself in California with more than a few stops along the way.

Inspired by her book The Voice You Forgot You Had, available now, this show pulls the audience through every exit and every reinvention: hair, hips, menopause, politics, and the slow, hard-won return to her own voice as a woman of color navigating two wildly different worlds.

Alpher currently serves as the Poet Laureate of Livermore, California, the first person of color to hold the position. Her debut spoken word collection, 'The Voice You Forgot You Had', is available now.
