If the World Really Ends Friday
A week prior to that, on December 14th, 26 people were shot and killed in a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. This is not a play about gun violence, but it inevitably plays a role given the time and place.
Set at a middle school lunch table somewhere in Michigan, If the World Really Ends on Friday follows a group of four 12-14 year olds during the week in between these two events as they navigate orchestra concerts and school play auditions, first queer crushes, what will happen if the world really ends, and perhaps even scarier, what will happen if it doesn’t.
