Meet the Sgadugi

Meet the Sgadugi is a new play set in a pre-contact (1392) Cherokee village. When a neighboring tribal member accidentally kills one of their wolves, the Cherokee villagers must decide the traitor's fate.
At the helm is nepo baby councilwoman Tahl, whose main priority is becoming a famous village singer. The only way she'll learn to lead is by leaning on her ragtag community (Sgadugi in Cherokee), whether she knows it or not.
You'll meet an artisanal canoe salesman, tiny corn hat vendor, Elder seer who often misinterprets her visions, human scarecrow, and a pyromaniac hairstylist.
This heartfelt one act comedy showcases Native joy, so leave your trauma at the door and prepare to travel back to a time BC (Before Colonizers).
