MACHINAL The Play

Sophie Treadwell's MACHINAL tells the story of the first woman sent to the electric chair - a young woman's explosive journey from corporate drone to passionate rebel ignites this electrifying drama of love, murder, and liberation. Directed by Amy Marie Seidel (Here There Are Blueberries, The Great Gatsby, Paradise Square) and featuring an auditory soundscape of rhythm tap & practical foley, choreographed by Madison Hilligoss (City Center's The Tap Dance Kid, Dance Lab NY), this production stars Katherine Winter, Temidayo Amay, Theresa McElwee, Soph Metcalf, Kimberly Immanuel, Alice Reys, Veronica Simpson, Michael Verre and Hannah Snow with additional cast to be announced soon. These preview performances at the NYC Fringe Festival mark the inaugural production of New York Theatre Company.
