Stars in Our Eyes tells the story of Lula, a young dreamer who aspires to be a performer despite her mother’s discouragement. The play alternates between Lula as a child and as an adult, exploring her struggles with self-doubt, societal pressure, and the challenges of pursuing an artistic career. On top of that, she has to deal with a complicated relationship with her mother, who discourages Lula from pursuing her goals. Through moments of failure, discovery, and perseverance, Lula learns to embrace her true self and keep chasing her dreams, symbolized by the stars she loves.
