Doris & Sue

Doris is happy living on her own, but her grown children worry about her and send an unwanted gift: a refurbished support unit, a robot to designed help take care of her. Doris would rather just use Sue as a hat stand, but she decides to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the refurbishment process doesn’t always go smoothly and Sue isn’t quite what the quick start guide said to expect.

FRIGID New York Resident Artistic Director Soon-to-be-emeritus Jimmy Lovett presents a staged reading of their new one-act play Doris & Sue, exploring memory, companionship, and a robot puppet.
